Albert Verlinden has held the position of president at BZB-Fedafin since 2014. With a lot of energy and vision, he has transformed the professional association into the most representative organisation for independent intermediaries in the Belgian banking and insurance sector.

During this period, he repeatedly defended the interests of this group of entrepreneurs, both with regulators, policymakers and political bodies, as well as with financial institutions and insurance companies.

From his role as chairman, Albert Verlinden is also active as a director in various organisations and bodies, such as financial and insurance sector ombudsmen, HRZKMO, joint committees, European federations, etc., among others.

With more than 20 years of experience in the banking and insurance sector, he has a deep understanding of the industry and knows better than anyone else what it is like to operate as an independent intermediary. He understands the challenges facing the sector and is passionately committed to standing up for the interests of independent intermediaries.
