Mgr. Marta Gellová

Mgr. Marta Gellova, (born 1969, divorced, son – 29 years), ead law at the Charles University in Prague and received a language certificate from the University of Cambridge. She has served for 6 months as a professional at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

Marta is the co-founder and the driving force behind EFPA Czech Republic (European Financial Planning Association) and since its foundation, she has held the position of EFPA CR chairperson.

She has extensive experience in the financial sector and through her participation in advisory boards of the Government of the Czech Republic. For several years she has been involved in the implementation of professional and ethical standards, certification and financial education of professionals in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF).

She has actively participated at the Global Money Week focusing on financial literacy of children and youth and the Czech National Strategy of Financial Education.

From 2005 to 2011 she was the Secretary-General of the Association of Financial Intermediaries and Financial Advisors of the Czech Republic.

In 2006 she became a Board member of EFPA Europe and in June 2018 she was elected as the vice-chairwoman of EFPA Europe.

Currently she serves as the Treasurer of FECIF (European Federation of Financial Advisors and Financial Intermediaries), but she also held a position of the Secretary-General.

For several years she was a member of the Advisory Board of CIFA (Convention of Independent Financial Advisors - an NGO in general consultative status with the ECOSOC of the UN).

In 2012 Marta received the LIGS Award for her contribution for the continuous professional development.

Since 2018 she has been serving as a publicly elected representative to the Prague City Assembly.
